Lopar is situated on the Island of Rab, which is part of the northern Adriatic Kvarner Archipelago. It is 110 kilometers / 65 miles from the administrative centre Rijeka, 190km /118m from the capital Zagreb and relatively close to large European cities such as Munich (630km/391m), Milan (580km /360m), Vienna (550 km / 342m ) and Ljubljana (230 km /143m ).
Lopar can be accessed from the mainland by ferry boat via Jablanac- Mišnjak, which takes only about ten minutes, or by the alternative route from Valbiska on the island of Krk, which is becoming more interesting to many visitors due to the vicinity of Rijeka and its airport. This attractive passage lasts about 90 minutes. .
